Pam Cole

Pam B. Cole serves as the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs. She received her BA in English from Emory University and her MS in English from Radford University. Dr. Cole earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech. Recipient of multiple awards for teaching, service, and research, including Kennesaw State University's Distinguished Professor Award,  Dr. Cole has held numerous leadership roles. She has served as an associate dean, interim department chair, and interim dean in two colleges at Kennesaw State University: the Bagwell College of Education and the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She has held several director titles. Dr. Cole has also served as the Associate Vice President for Curriculum for Kennesaw State University. Her professional publications, research, and service are in the field of Young Adult Literature. Dr. Cole has held several leadership positions in her field of research. She has served as President of SIGNAL, a network of the International Reading Association and as editor of the network's journal, SIGNAL. Dr. Cole has also served on the board of the Assembly on Literatures for Adolescents of the National Council of Teachers of English. An inaugural member of Stanford University's edTPA National Academy, Dr. Cole is recognized as a leading expert and consultant in teacher performance assessment. Dr. Cole co-authored an $8.9 million federal Teacher Quality Enhancement grant that was used to build partnerships in high-need Cobb County K-12 urban schools.
