Lori Lowder
Dr. Lori Lowder is the Associate Vice Provost for Student Success. She earned a B.S. and M.S in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She has held various leadership positions within the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, including Interim Department Chair of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Assistant Dean of Accreditation and Assessment, and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. She has led various student success initiatives and provided oversight of academic advising. She has also provided leadership in undergraduate research and internships, first-year experiences, and peer tutoring services. Dr. Lowder currently serves as the Principal Investigator on a $1M National Science Foundation grant entitled “Recruiting, Retaining, Graduating, and Transitioning Undergraduates into Successful Engineering Careers.”
