Elke M. Leeds is the Assistant Vice President of Technology Enhanced Learning and the Executive Director of the Distance Learning Center at Kennesaw State University. Her divisional responsibilities include Academic Testing Services, Instructional Design Units, Faculty Support Programs and Management of Online Consortia Programs. Before joining the Administration, Dr. Leeds played a key role in developing the first online degree program at Kennesaw State. She has designed and delivered courses across instructional methodologies and served as a course coordinator in Information Systems, The Georgia WebMBA and Coles Executive MBA programs.
Dr. Leeds is actively engaged in research relating to student retention, engagement strategies, and teaching competencies. She serves on University System of Georgiaâ€™s New Learning Models Consortia, Regents Administrative Committee of Distance Education, University System Distance Education Task Force and the and Learning Management System Strategic Advisory Board. Dr. Leeds holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems.
Elke is originally from Chicago, IL. Before arriving at Kennesaw State University, she worked in LaSalle Street financial district and as a Director of Operations and Planning at a Chicago based manufacturer. She is an avid golfer and outdoorsman, appreciative of handheld waterproof technologies.
